Jillian Britton
Solicitor
Jillian began work at GI Law in June 2016 initially as a Paralegal and has progressed to working as a solicitor in commercial and property law. She also supports the litigation practice.
Jillian completed her Bachelor of Performing Arts and Bachelor Laws, a double degree at Monash University in 2015. She undertook her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the Leo Cussen Centre for Law and was admitted to practice in 2016.
Jillian has worked as a Legal Assistant and Paralegal in the commercial and not-for-profit spaces across a range of practice areas, including: commercial and property, criminal law, human rights litigation, intellectual property and arts and entertainment law. She volunteered at the Arts Law Centre in 2015.
Jillian is also interested in intellectual property and its efficacy in brand/ business protection and development.
Jillian comes from a background in performing arts, she has worked in theatre as a stage manager on both local and touring productions.

Casey Gosper
Senior Associate
Casey began work at GI Law in June 2016 focusing on large scale litigation matters.
Having completed a Bachelor of Arts degree at Monash University in 2005 and her Juris Doctor at Bond University in 2009, she returned to Melbourne to undertake her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the College of Law and was admitted to practice in 2010.
Casey began her legal career at Garland Hawthorn Brahe Lawyers in the commercial and property department and has acted on behalf of both acquiring authorities and owners of land being acquired. Casey also practiced in dispute resolution providing succinct, commercial advice while developing her skills in complex litigation.
Casey worked at GI & Sanicki Lawyers from 2013 until 2016 where she focused her practice on commercial and IP litigation and dispute resolution. With extensive litigation and drafting experience, she has instructed in a range of complex matters in VCAT, the Magistrates Court, the Victorian Supreme Court, the Federal Court and the High Court of Australia. Casey has personally appeared in Applications before the Magistrates’, Supreme and Federal Courts. Casey has also represented artists, fashion designers and sports people in disputes obtaining favourable outcomes for her clients.
Casey has a keen interest in sports law including organisational structures of sporting bodies and athletes’ management and sponsorship contracts.
With a background heavily involved in the sporting arena, she has represented Victoria and Australia in a number of sporting disciplines and events.
